Poinciana is a song by Nat Simon with the original lyrics writen by Buddy Bernier in 1936. The song has been performed many times over the years but was made popular by pianist Ahmad Jamal in 1958 on his record 'At the Perishing: But Not For Me'. Freelance have now taken the song and put their own spin on it. Smithsoneon (Vocals) wrote new lyrics and the arrangement was created by Ausar The Ambassador (producer). In the final verse of the song they pay homage to the original lyrics by Buddy Bernier.
